For me, it means sunny days with a fresh breeze. Lineapelle in Milano, surrounded by good energy and innovation. It means seeing my longtime suppliers and meeting new ones along the way.
We talk about the weather, we talk about politics, we talk about our families, we talk about the differences between Canada and Italy, and of course, we talk about leather too :)
It means lots of stops for an espresso (I take mine short, black, no sugar, grazie), trains from one city to another, time with friends and family, and watching summer slowly turn into autumn.
It means resting, eating, laughing, walking through piazzas. Beach waves, warm afternoons, cooler evenings, the smell of leather, and new colours and textures everywhere.
But these trips are also an important part of Wearshop. They give me time to reconnect with the people behind the materials I work with, discover what’s new, touch and feel leathers in person, and come home with new ideas.
Mostly, it means filling my cup again. Coming home rested, inspired, and with a head full of ideas for what’s next at Wearshop.
